Don't Forget Your Roots.

So it's 12:40 and I'm just now writing my first post for this blog. Hello world, allow me to introduce myself to the masses...my names Jeremy but friends call me Jay (and if you reading this I'm possibly considering you as a friend). I'm 20 years old from the Bronx, Lincoln Hospital alum, I rap with my Smoove Boy Brothas, (but that's for another conversation). I'm American but my parents are from Honduras ( could've fooled anybody) they raised a man & I'm glad that they didn't give up on me and raised me how they did. Let's take this moment to salute my parents......
Okay So now that you know a little about me let's talk about what this is, shall we? So..this..right..here..is..my..blog [corn right? I does that. haha]. I call it "Child's Play". Why the name because I'm a young man getting older and wiser but I definitely still got the complex of a kid, & so this here blog is meant to entertain you, the audience, about things the you and I alike think should be discussed.....Today's subject:

REMEMBER WHERE YOU CAME FROM...
I  think people are getting carried  away with what they find as tasteful and what just isn't, example?
  • not everyone is a Wiz Khalifa, Amber Rose, Chris Brown, Rihanna, or a Kanye West. You dont have to get a blonde streak, dye your hair blonde, shave ya head to wear heels or wear clothes that won't fit you tomorrow, be yourself nobody changing you & nobody expecting you to be a certain way.
  • Never forget your support system your parents, friends, mentor, etc. they're going to be by your side no matter how bad you mess, not everybody has a fairy tale life where everything is guaranteed. YOUR NOT GUARANTEED TOMORROW.
Lastly, if you are to be a successful person, don't ever, I repeat EVER  forget your roots. Thats where you came from and thats where you'll end up when it's all said and done. Don't believe the hype its not worth your pride and dignity.

Everybody wants to be famous but when they get there they don't know how to or just cant handle the feeling of everyone being on their side for the wrong reasons. Remember who you are.

"And could I be a star, does fame in this game have to change who you areor could I be the same one who came from a far away life just to make in these Broadway lights, now I'm shining in the broad day lights...go figure a slow transition from a little broke nigga" - J.Cole
I'll try my best to keep ya updated as often as possible on things you guys wanna hear and everything (which I know there's a lot) but seeing as how this is the first post, We'll stop here for now. More to come,
